Greetings!

I thought I'd post here - I don't know anyone in the community and am starting off pretty green. It's been about 20 years since I've done any serious flight simming - I'd love to meet some new people in the community. I'm located in the Atlantic Standard Time Zone, east coast of Canada. I've got a 3 month old at home, so time is limited and would likely only be able to undertake flights on weekends (weekday availability is highly questionable).

I've decided to re-learn everything in the U-2VS, very cool to have a training aircraft (with an interesting history) like this available in the game for someone like me to utilize!  Consider me the greenest among the green at this point, but would be interested in flying cooperatively with members of the community in this aircraft to start, before branching off into others. The ultimate goal is to play on a multiplayer server on max realism settings.

Not sure what I'd like to specialize in at this point, and probably don't have the time available to commit to a squad (unless your squad can accommodate my erratic schedule).

Feel free to message me - I'd love to get back into this.

Hi Groove...!

Seems you and I are in the same boat - although I've been playing a lot of WarThunder in Sim Mode recently as an intro to my return to Combat Sims - it isn't a patch on this...!

Loving learning to fly again after quite some time out but, like you, find it hard to commit to certain times or a schedule. Also, I'm in th UK - but do tend to be on very late Friday and Saturday nights - I run into quite a few Canadians / Americans at those times - so might be able to join up with you at some point...!!

I've been starting out with the p40 as I like the earlier vehicles (really looking forward to the Hurricane MkII - it was Il-2 Cliffs of Dover that got me hooked on the hurricane...!) and it's not too hard to manually control once you get used to its foibles...! However - I'm happy to learn in anything...!

I went mad in the sale and bought everything (except tanks...!) - so I can join in any capacity...!

It makes such a difference to have someone to fly out with - let me know...!

That would be fantastic Thaddeus. I just sent you a message about this. I noticed there's even a Canadian livery for the P-40, it's on the to-do list of aircraft I'm interested in flying!

Thanks Camm! On behalf of the colonies I appreciate this offer. :)

Hey Groove,

If you're looking for a low key squad The AirWolves may be what you're looking for. We're fairly new to IL2 and have members in the US (Pacific Time Zone and Central Time Zone) we also have one member in Germany. We fly both sides and we're usually on the side with the least numbers. There's no strict schedule of flying, fly when you can and don't fly when you can't. Our core values are teamwork, learning and most of all fun! To get a bit more info on us you can visit our Discord. https://discord.gg/gSWzseJ
