Field-Ops Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 if you mean the live ingame GPS map then I dont think there is a way. However if you wanted to do traditional real navigation you have plenty of options available to you. Such as having the image file of the map opned, a web browser interactive map, there is also a phone app for that purpose if you didnt have a second screen. Check out the link below. i used to have the map images on file but can only find my BoBP map for now. Cant attach it here because of the size. https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/62-3rd-party-apps-utilities-tools-and-other-content/ 1
hetstaine Posted June 27, 2020 Author Posted June 27, 2020 Bummer. I was looking for a live MP version, i might just go with running a template pic of whatever map a server is running on a second monitor like i did with the original il2, cheers!
JimTM Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 (edited) You could open the IL2 Mission Planner map. Click the question mark on the lower right for help. UPDATE: The link above is not working anymore. Work on the IL2 Mission Planner was taken over by @-332FG-ServError. See also the forum post for the planner. There is also an IL2 Flight Planner, but I don't know who created it. Some help is here. Edited February 23, 2023 by JimTM 1 1

Some servers like combat box have versions of the map through Il2 mission planner with targets and airfields on it on their stats sites so the map shows the scenario you are flying too. 1
hetstaine Posted June 28, 2020 Author Posted June 28, 2020 Is Box the one with zero icons, as in no own plane on map as well? If so cool, i like the server and missions but there isn't many on in my timezone, Australia, Brisbane. WoL and one other i frequent but WoL seems to be the most popular.
22GCT_RedBaron Posted February 14, 2021 Posted February 14, 2021 Hi all .Sorry, I recently reinstalled my second monitor, where I plan to use il2missionplanner. Of course I set the "extended monitor" function from the control panel of my Nvidia video card. Unfortunately I noticed, however, that in game, the mouse pointer does not go to the second monitor, the one with the map open, not allowing me to use it. I am forced to use the "Alt-Tab" key combination but I don't think it's the optimal solution. How do you do it? Thanks maybe i solved ...
No_85_Gramps Posted February 14, 2021 Posted February 14, 2021 In your startup.cfg file, located in the data folder, go to the [KEY = input] section and set exclusive to 0. [KEY = input] exclusive = 0 input_map = "input.map" mouse_plane_control = 0 old_trackir = 0 turrets_dc = 0
Toots_LeGuerre Posted February 14, 2021 Posted February 14, 2021 I'd like to see small printable sector maps that you could run off on a printer before a mission. Stuff it by the monitor or in the flying boots and takeoff. The Ingame adjustable transparent map while effective, is not realistic, the detail often difficult to read.

SFC_Tako Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 Another option (mental perhaps): Learn the land.
