Jaws2002 Posted June 26, 2020 Posted June 26, 2020 (edited) They repainted the Jagdpanther at Bovington Tank Museum and it went faster than painting a tank for the game. ? Edited June 26, 2020 by Jaws2002 1 1 1
HylaHyla Posted June 27, 2020 Posted June 27, 2020 Love seeing the Hetzer beside it's huge cousin. Thanks for the picture and the reality regarding skinning issues. Skinners we appreciate all you do! 1
Jaws2002 Posted June 28, 2020 Author Posted June 28, 2020 (edited) Hetzer is cute, but it must have been pretty hard to fight in that thing. It's very cramped inside. Painting tank skins for the game is pretty big task, because there are a lot of small parts, spread all over two 4k textures. It's a pain to align all those panels. I'm looking forward for the day, when we would be able to paint right on the 3d model, just like real world. There's 3d modeling software, where you can paint straight on the model, but it's going to take a while for those tools to show up in games. Edited June 28, 2020 by Jaws2002 1
Trooper117 Posted June 28, 2020 Posted June 28, 2020 I did my tank drivers course at Bovington, I was driving 56 tons of Chieftain MkV... went to the Bovvy tank museum quite a bit! 1 1
