Is there any certain scale to use when looking at the map view..!?  

Like, how big is one "quadrant"..!?

Each big square is 10 km x 10 km. The smaller squares inside are each 3.3 km x 3.3 km.

You can measure distances on the maps using Il2 Mission Planner. Its very helpful for plotting courses.
