Thad Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 (edited) Salutations tankers, I desire to put together some Tank Crew missions based upon historical locations in books I have purchased concerning Patton's armored forces moving to relieve Bastogne. During said research, I noted many towns and villages where battles took place. Towns- Martelange, Flatzbourhof (hamlet), Holtz, Wolwelange, Bigonville, Burnon, Menufontaine, Chaumont, Remoiville, Nives, Cobreville, Hollange The list is probably not complete. Unfortunately, none of them are represented upon the Rheinland map. Obviously, that limits what can be done to recreate any historically based tank battles. ☹️ Of course, there is the hope that the Normandy modules map will include such places but I am concerned about it. Time will tell. Also, there will be need for additional units to historically present said battles. Partial suggested list below. Allied: M5 Stuart tanks Sherman (Firefly) M8 Greyhounds 37mm gun, 50cal MG (lightly armored reconnaissance vehicles) Suggest AI controlled at least. M7 HMC(Howitzer Motor Carriage- Priest) M2/A1 Howitzer , 11,000 meter max range Towed M1A1 155mm howitzers (20,000 meter max range) M18 Hellcat Tank Destroyers M3 half-tracks 80mm Mortar Units Bazooka Units Axis: Tiger I Panzerfaust Units 8cm Morter Sections, 12cm Granatwerfer Morter units. (6,000 meters) Dug in Infantry Units Sturmgelchutz Assault Guns. 10.5cm howitzers I know, I know, quite a wish list. But as an aspiring mission builder, I need the tools to create a semblance of historical events for Tank Crew. Hope springs eternal. Edited June 22, 2020 by Thad 1 6
352ndOscar Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 (edited) One can only hope..... “To support this particular Great Battle, we plan to build numerous ground vehicles, tanks, paratroopers, artillery, bunkers, objects, obstacles, buildings, airfields and ships that will bring flying such dangerous missions to life.” Edited June 22, 2020 by 352ndOscar 1 1

You might know already that Hamaha15 has a great number of area towns edited and added via Surface Edit and maybe a JSGME mod file? 1
352ndOscar Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 Still a LOT of pieces missing yet, Eazy 8’s, Stuart’s, Priests, TD’s in any form, arty, etc. We have seen/received things like M3’s and M8’s, but still much to see yet…. I’m hopeful….someday…..maybe…..
