Is there a way to edit the ingame map?

Looking for a way to edit the ingame map texture to add a flight plan or mission notes to the map.

I'm aware that there is a VR enhancer Mod that contains a kneeboard, but this is locked on some serves.

I don't understand  your Q. You mean surface editing the map texture itself via the Mission editor, or the pilot map text in the the game?

The latter you can do via some media tool or subtitle triggered ...
