Nibbio Posted June 21, 2020 Posted June 21, 2020 (edited) Sorry for opening a new thread, but could not find any mention of this. Already happened a couple of times. Moscow mig 3 career, ground attack mission, as my flight approaches the target area, the ground targets and their red icon disappear, just minutes after the flight is in range, and before we can set up an attack run. Could it be some clean up routine that kicks off too soon? Edited June 21, 2020 by Nibbio
Retnek Posted June 21, 2020 Posted June 21, 2020 Confirmed, we had that issue, too. Flying an attacker campaign with 109 early Moscow. 1
vonGraf Posted June 21, 2020 Posted June 21, 2020 Yes, had it once as well in a BF110 on autumn Moscow map at night (when you can see the icons very well).
PatrickAWlson Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 What are you attacking? Trucks? Train? Combat units?

No105_Swoose Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Happened to me on my most recent PWCG 9.2.0 mission. 4 August 1943 Kuban map VVS mission to attack German units west of Kh'ankov and Anastasievkskaya on either side of the Kuban River. Targets consisted mostly of PAK-38's, Flak 38's, howitzers, and MG34 machine guns. Set myself up to attack targets showing up as icons on a lake or large pond. I know PWCG sometimes places targets on bodies of water; not a big deal. Selected a cluster of four icons (howitzers) and dropped a pair of bombs on them scoring a hit. There were other icons on the water in pairs, maybe PAK-38's? When I reversed course to make another pass at the icons on the water they were all gone. Attached error log and MIS and ENG files. PatrickAWlson Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 The mission will help - thanks. Probably, as suggested, something is triggering cleanup. I thought that I only used cleanup on AA guns. Will verify. 1
