=OPFR=BazookaMan Posted June 21, 2020 Posted June 21, 2020 Email I sent to Thrustmaster, but if anyone else has been through this, could you please help, or if you have any ideas... Windows 10 pro 64bit The following has happened several times, but until now, with the help of support, I've been able to restart it by using the Bootloader method: Throttle only lights up top 5 LEDS (vertical row next to Friction) when plugged in. The following are the precise steps I've done and the error that comes back on the "Final Check" is "ERROR: time-out device should had arrived in HID. (Code: 0x34100002) Procedure I've taken: Unplug Throttle Run latest driver package from website (this uninstalls the package) Restart pc Run latest driver package from website (this reinstalls the package) Restart pc Hold Silence + Engage buttons while plugging into USB 2.0 port (on motherboard) Thrustmaster HOTAS WARTHOG Throttle Bulk then appears in device manager under HID Release Silence + Engage buttons Select Start > All Programs > Thrustmaster > Hotas Warthog, then click Firmware Update. Select [BOOT] Hotas Warthog Throttle - Ver.: 23 (Boot:1) 1. Preperation results in green check 2. Main Firmware results in green check (after this step, the Throttle disappears from HID) 3. Final check fails with "ERROR: time-out device should had arrived in HID. (Code: 0x34100002) I've tried this many times with slight variations and several different 2.0 ports that all work with over devices. My warthog joystick still works and has never had any problems. Please advise.
FlyingH Posted June 21, 2020 Posted June 21, 2020 (edited) Is there dirt in the throttles usbplug? Is it damaged, has the cable been kinked or is there chafing somewhere on the cables inside the throttle housing? Also read the post by 69th_Panp here https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/62290-i-need-help-please/ 12th post in the topic. Hope this helps. Edited June 21, 2020 by FlyingH 1

It's still under warranty (1.5 years) so I'm afraid to open it up... does that void the warranty? When I load the bootloader method, after it finished step two, Main Firmware, and gives the green check mark, all the lights come on like it's fixed. But it's still not responsive and if I unplug it and plug it back in, it goes back to the 5 vertical LED's at the top status. It's like the firmware is going in one ear and out the other. Just ordered the Virpil to replace this one regardless of what happens… wonder how long the wait is currently?
FlyingH Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 If it´s under warranty you should get it fixed the retailer, either a repair or a new one! If you get it fixed (or replaced) you could put it up for sale somewhere and at least get a little refund from it!
DD_Crash Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Its worth asking here https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=601
spitfirejoe Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 (edited) I have an own thread with trouble . My warthog HOTAS throttle kept making trouble all the time. I opened it and saw that 1 cable was chafing when moving the throttle, I fixed that and the trouble was gone. Edited June 24, 2020 by spitfirejoe
