=1488=PR0T0S Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 S~! As the title says I just received a VKB Gladiator K "Kosmosima" Great stick. Best I have ever owned. I am having a problem mapping the dual stage trigger. I can only get the first stage going. When I check button assignments in windows joyestick settings. I see that first stage is mapped to B1. Second stage B2. Both light up on full press to second stage. However first pull in the game is b0 and it stays there. Anyone have this working ??? Had a similiar problem with an X52 pro but once I put in the windows assigned button it worked fine. Not happening with the VKB.
TCW_Brzi_Joe Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 In game, prior binding, first press and hold first stage. Then select binding (i.e. Cannons) and press second stage when expected from game. 1
=1488=PR0T0S Posted June 17, 2020 Author Posted June 17, 2020 Unfortunately this is not working for me. I still get b0 assigned in game for both stages.
Yardstick Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 Try pressing and holding stage 2, then select the binding. Can't remember how I set it up for my Cougar / F-18 sticks (unprogrammed) but I don't recall it being an issue. If you want to programme the stick, you can do it that way and just press the relevant key/combo when you select the binding rather than having to press the button on the stick. 1
dburne Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 Yeah having the first stage trigger activated and held when assigning the second stage should allow assigning to a different button. I know it did on my end. 1

An alternative, in game controls leave in this way, then go to game folder ...IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\input Open the file Current.map (use Notepad, don't use Word, Wordpad). And change machineguns_fire, joy1_b0, 0| // Fire weapon group 1 cannons_fire, joy1_b0, 0| // Fire weapon group 2 To machineguns_fire, joy1_b0, 0| // Fire weapon group 1 cannons_fire, joy1_b1, 0| // Fire weapon group 2 In the above example I am assuming that second stage is button "b1", if is not change as need. Is the number you see in Windows Control Panel Game Controllers (joy.cpl) minus 1, because this game series start number joystick buttons from 0 and Windows is from 1, there first stage is #1 and not #0. Don't change the first part, the "joy#_", if in your computer is joy2_ or joy3_ leave as is. 1 1
