Train bridges over large bodies of water

How do you put train bridges over larger bodies of water. On the Rheinland map there are some large water ways with railroad tracks which are supposed to cross over, but they are really far apart. How do you extend the rail to meet the bridge or bridges.

I've always used the templates that 1C provide, and then go from there.  You can find your templates in:
