Beebop Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Concerning the river barges (?) in the 'Ships' menu.... I understand the the penicheagb is a British barge and the penicheager is the German counterpart, but what is the difference between the penichea and the pinicheab? All four look exactly the same save the flags on the two flagged barges. Not a big deal really but I'm just curious. As with many of the available objects some are named strangely and often there is no clue as to what the different models are until you place them in the mission, sometimes until you run the mission.. BTW, what does penicha stand for? Barge I'm guessing. Any particular language? They don't require any foreign language skill in American education. (and I use the term 'education' loosely)
DN308 Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 The main difference is just the flag. And the guys behind the AAMG Nothing noticeable from the sky
DN308 Posted June 13, 2020 Posted June 13, 2020 (edited) BTW penichea should stand for barge, yes. Edited June 13, 2020 by DN308
jollyjack Posted July 4, 2020 Posted July 4, 2020 Mean barges, if they have flak and waypoints set to low priority ... nice stafing target practice with rockets.
Beebop Posted July 4, 2020 Author Posted July 4, 2020 As far as I have seen the peniche are unarmed. I believe they are Flying Circus content. The larger, often sea going armed barges are called "landboata" and the big river boats are called "rivershipgeorgia". One of them is armed with triple A. Still not sure why there is a "penichea" and a "penicheb" though.
