TAIPAN_ Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 What's going on with the AI when they blip the engines like this? I saw them doing it to slow down while attacking bombers, can clearly hear the engine cut out and back on. Also interesting someone told me they saw a real/replica I-16 blipping the engine at an airshow, although I had thought it was only rotary engines not radials that could do this.. anyone know if the original I-16 could do it? The blip key binding doesn't work for I-16, and if you switch the engine off and on it's not instant like that but somehow the AI did it. Does the AI get special privileges/cheats? ?

You sure it’s not just a sound bug?

I have run into sound issues occasionally with sound cutting out a little online. Most of it has been fixed lately I found. Maybe try and get a track and post it?

The track: https://www.dropbox.com/s/iovp8j5tkmgxslp/Tracks.rar?dl=0 Here's a short clip from the track: 1
Field-Ops Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 Looks like rapid throttle down if not blip. The exhaust flames cut out too when it "blips". 1
Lusekofte Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 Is it not carburettor that cuts the engines in negative G 2

But even with fuel injection you still need positive Gs for fuel and oil pumps to work correctly. Hence all (?) the BoX fighters will cut from negative Gs after some period of seconds. 1

Possible though. Also possible the AI is cheating
