Reggie_Mental Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 (edited) I have these gathering dust since I rarely fly FSX these days. Has anyone used these in IL2GB? Can they be used/emulated in this game? Edited June 9, 2020 by Reggie_Mental
Beazil Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 I assume you can use the Saitek software to program buttons, but it's likely to take some time to setup.
THERION Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Hi, I use the Saitek Switch Panel (the last one in the picture above). But this thing works only with the free software called DCSFlightPanels, because this thing is quite proprietary and was originally designed to only work with FSX, X-Plane and Prepar3D. With that said, I like it and it works great for what I need it. Cheerio
GOA_AveFenix506*VR* Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Hi Pilots.. In order to use this panels with out any payware program ( as SpadX ) you can use this other option: Here the link for download: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=137670 For example, you can bind keys to the switch panel, in any position ( on/off). Artyon_Frost Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 I am currently having issues with DCSFlightpanels. It used to work perfectly a couple of days ago (with the issue that it doesn't always recognize modifiers such as shift) but now IL2 doesn't register the commands at all. The virtual keystrokes are being sent by DCSFP but Il2 does not get them. When I activate the switches anywhere I get the key presses. Even for engine start, which is E, when I press the specific switch, an E appears on everywhere, text file, virtual keyboards, the DCSFP logs, but in Il2 it doesn't do anything. When I press E on the physical keyboard, the engine does start. What gives. DCSFP is currently working in DCS. Have you ever had that happen to you?
ATAG_SKUD Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 (edited) I'm using my PZ255 with DCSFlightpanels ver. 2.2.77 and it works fine in key emulator mode with BoX v4.007. maybe try going back to an older version. skud Edited June 11, 2020 by ATAG_SKUD spellcheck
SCG_OpticFlow Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 You could use the Radio Panel with DCSFlightpanels to control SRS. Seems like some IL2 multiplayer users are starting to switch from TeamSpeak to SRS for increased realism...

For the game (IL-2) not recognizing the keypress sent, try starting DCSFlightpanels "As administrator".

I am the developer behind DCSFlightpanels and of course I would like to have it working properly in IL-2. I would need someone to test also. I own any of the IL-2 so someone else must do the testing. 1
FlyingH Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 With the Warthog and Target script I use 32ms delay. Hope this helps. 1
