Sorry for my English,

I have an error, when i want to play with flying circur planes on il2 BOS maps , an error appear "Lua Scripts\Word Objects\g8.TXT" and IL2 is blocked

 

Only for one map is ok, the flying circus map.

I’ve had this happen to me recently, and the fix was to clear out the files from the multiplayer servers that downloaded from those multiplayer servers in your multiplayer folder.

 

Go into your game's "data" folder and delete the content inside your "multiplayer" folder.  This should stop the game from looking for that nonexistent file.

 

I think those types of luascript files are holdovers from the Rise of Flight days.  Especially on multiplayer servers that serve Flying Circus aircraft, the server files may have an old luascript reference because the mission was or parts of the mission were originally created within Rise of Flight.

I had this problem, it was fixed by removing out of date MODs. Turn all MODS off and try that. Then turn on each MOD on e at a time until the culprit is found and delete it.

Be careful, because it can also be that an mod is working but getting corrupted because of  the 4006 update. That why swap the mod back before doing the update.

I have no mod installed, and this bug appeared since update 4.006.
The problem persists, thanks for your help and your answers.
The il2 BOS community is really nice, it reminds me of the first il2 because I am a 50 year old gamer.

Sorry I couldn't help, maybe you could try a new topic in the General Discussion section and see if anyone else has an idea to help you. My issue was cured by one of the developers.

I'm getting this in QMB - any FC plane, Kuban map. It crashes the game.

No mods enabled, and clearing out the Multiplayer folder has no effect.

For me Flying circus planes in all IL2 cards crash the game, it's OK only for Arras map.

I solved this by performing a clean install of the game, so I expect that the update somehow corrupted a file somewhere. Don't forget to save your data/input folder and startup.cfg file before reinstalling. Good luck ?.

Do not forget your scripted campaign outcomes at

C:\Program Files (x86)\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles\data\swf\il2\usersave

 

And all your collected skins.
