Mods on > startup corrupted

Each time I enable mods my game either freezes at startup (cursor turning forever) or I get this (see image) after a very short loading time without IL2 logo and red status bar. Does anybody have a clue? I couldn't find anything in the forums.

Help would be appreciated.

And what if you do run the game without mods? 

If this is running well then one of your mods is corrupt, or you had the game being updated while still mods were being active.

Works fine with Mods off. I have already deleted all mods but didn’t want to do a clean reinstall so far. Maybe I’ll have to do this?

This worked for me when my screen turned upside down ( not sure why...)Through Steam I did a uninstall while keeping a copy of my startup just in case it is changed during the uninstall.Then of course a reinstall. Steam makes it pretty easy and doesn’t usually do away with missions, skins etc. Make sure you disable all Mods before going ahead.I’ve also been told do make sure Mods are off when doing an upgrade ( such as what we are due later this week...)

Thank you for your help. A clean new install fixed the problem so far. I still wonder wich mod caused this strange bug...

Also a good piece of advice from waaaaaay back: if you aren't sure about a new Mod or any other , then install them one at a time & check to see if which one has caused problems somewhere.Most of mine haven't shown up in starup ( these are usually changed by doing changes in the "In Game" settings.Mine usually show up in LauScripts file, so I usually back that up with a virgon copy as well and use the back up after uninstalling all Mods & carefully re-installing them on top of a virgin LauScripts file.Hope this helps.God knows I've had a lot of help from third parties!

I do, i had to turn my monitor 180 degrees to fix it. But the real blame was my provider using an Australian Proxy server ...

Yes I’ve had this happen.The only thing that worked for me was to “Uninstall “ & “Re-install” through Steam.Its a pain but it works.
