Team Fusion ATAG_Pattle Posted June 6, 2020 Team Fusion Posted June 6, 2020 First look at all the Royal Navy vessels that will be included in our upcoming expansion to IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz. All shown are complete, or near completion.Who can guess all the classes shown in the picture? 5 2
BB5000 Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 (edited) The big ones seems to be Revenge class (top) and Queen Elizabeth class . The cruiser could be Leander-class Edited June 6, 2020 by BB5000 1
Feathered_IV Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 There's the U-Class submarine down on the left and a Tribal with what appear to be some 1940 model Vosper MTB's. The shorter destroyer is a mystery to me though. I would have said Hunt Class were it not for the aft funnel. 1 1
56RAF_Stickz Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 well 2 bigguns and one in front are ""dont go near below 25kft". The 2 flanking them are "dont get within 15Kft unless you got 30 flak magnets". Trailed by the "you gonna needs some friends" type. Then 2 or 3 of the, "ha ha ask yourself are you feeling lucky?" class 1 3
Team Fusion ATAG_Pattle Posted June 6, 2020 Author Team Fusion Posted June 6, 2020 Thanks to those that had a guess. The answer is: Queen Elizabeth class battleship, Revenge-class battleship, Leander-class cruiser, Tribal-class destroyer (2), Flowers class corvette, Vosper MTB (2), U-class Submarine.Kriegsmarine and Regia Marina are next.
danielprates Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 This is looking increasingly more promising. It already was, and gets even more all the time. 1

On this website it appears that the Nelson Class BB was modelled, in some ways. http://bobgamehub.blogspot.com/2013/11/screenshots-wip-on-team-fusion-update-50.html But my guess is that they’ll add it to the game later, like in TF 6.0. 1
sevenless Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 This one is getting better every day. Very promissing.
Avimimus Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 Since people are fantasizing about carriers and more capital ships... I thought I would cease hesitating to mention the one minor omission I see: What about a British motor gun boat? Those were about! Also useful for air-sea rescue on the BoB map. More seriously: I remember reading these account of bombing river barges in North Africa... and I can't help but to wonder about barges, supply craft, and local vessels... barges would make great targets and local craft add a lot of flavour... So for TF5.5 or TF6.0... that is what I'd wish for ahead of the Nelson (cool as she is)!!

Avimimus Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 (edited) That is exciting. I can definitely see myself using the mission editor quite a bit once Tobruk is released! I was honestly disappointed enough by support being dropped (before TFS took over) that I didn't play Cliffs as much as I could. It probably didn't help that I was brought in as an emergency moderator at SimHQ for the Cliffs forum in order to try to tamp tensions down... it made thinking about the game during the whole release period a bit more of a stressful experience than it should have been!
