356thFS_Piranha Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 I can't seem to get my mouse to control the turret gun in VR. I can't even set up the mouse axis in the key bindings, the game will not accept my axis inputs for the mouse. I'm using a reverb. Anyone else have this problem?
SYN_Mike77 Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 Try holding down the right mouse button when traversing. I don't know why but I suddenly had that problem too and this worked for me. Now, can anyone explain how to just be able to use the mouse w/o holding down a button?
firdimigdi Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 (edited) I don't remember which are the ones that directly control the turret gun, but these are the mouse axis controls that I have bound and work: Then most importantly you need these two in weapon control: Press the first one to be able to move the gun around with your mouse, and the second one to look through the sight (best used with one eye in VR). When in the second mode do not move your head as it fights with the mouse input and it's very jittery (unless you don't mind that) and only use mouse input to move your view around. If you want to quickly look around just press the nestle button again and you can look around smoothly. Edited June 3, 2020 by Firdimigdi
356thFS_Piranha Posted June 4, 2020 Author Posted June 4, 2020 Thanks for the replies, I can't seem to set up the axis for the mouse. It will not register in key mapping . I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if I don;t have a variable selected that needs to be selected? Everything else is correct and works properly. i just cat use the mouse aim the turret. However I can fire the guns with the mouse.
firdimigdi Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 (edited) I'm not 100% sure if I made the bindings while in VR. I most likely did not as I tend to switch to screen to do such work as I find it easier. Give it a try and see if the binding works when viewed on screen - it could possibly be the mouse cursor movement is not registered while in VR since in VR what we see is basically a secondary virtual mouse cursor.
