Lusekofte Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 (edited) I always been fond of this plane and it has always been a favorite plane in SP just for the heck of it. But I do not think people know what a treat it is to fly in VR, to be honest , I was not aware of it myself until a week ago how much I love it When I took a deep breath, braced myself and started to tweak graphics. This plane is the one to go for , when testing graphics. And I do not think I ever had this much fun I am not a expirienced real world pilot, I have a lot of friends with PPL and they have taken me for a ride to spare cost . This means I flown it as much as they have in these trips. Also I have been transported by choppers up to remote areas in what I do for a living. I know how a flight in most weather feel and looks in small planes. The PO 2 capture that excellent . Put a little wind and turbulence and you have all kind of weird weather related atmospheric things happening to you. No other plane in this sim does that as well is my opinion. I am sure many will prove me wrong, but honestly , this underpowered sewing machine thingy of no so called use is a deep lesson in how aerodynamic works. I also found a use for it online in Finnish server. Make sure artillery and troop posission has been cleaned up a bit. It can survive a couple of AA but not all, then go in and have real fun. I wish I could afford to buy 100 of them just so I could fund a famous German STOL plane. I really really wish for more use for this plane Edited June 3, 2020 by 216th_LuseKofte 2 5
Fritz_X Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 I agree on eveything you said. Though I'd like to add that flying this plane is nothing but a treat even if you don't use VR. Yes, from a competitive view this plane won't get you far. But the experience you'll get from flying it compares to nothing else in this game. Absolutely priceless and worth every penny.
SCG_OpticFlow Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 It feels very fast if you fly it very low. Flying 130 km/h between trees and buildings is quite exciting...
CanadaOne Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 Yep, it's a great little plane and fun to fly. And a nasty one too with the weapons load. You fly up behind a train, barely moving faster than it is, and just hang there blasting it to bits with rockets. Like fish in a barrel.
Talisman Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 Yes, a lovely aircraft. In VR, with my MS Force Feedback joystick and gametrix 908 jetseat with Simshaker Wings software, it is the nearest thing to flying a real aircraft for me A joy to fly, especially down low were it is possible to fly slowly and appreciate the map scenery in an aircraft like no other; also enjoy the trip with a friend in the back, lol. Happy landings, 56RAF_Talisman
RedKestrel Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 I've had great fun using it as a touring plane in the QMB in the cities of the Bodenplatte map. You can land and takeoff in the front yard of some of the cathedrals and prominent monuments.
I./JG52_Woutwocampe Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 Why do we never see that one in careers? You can fly it but you'll never encounter one if you're german.

There were often two in several missions, flying very low on what could have been liaison missions. They were hard to shoot down too!

If two person start a career simultaneous same squad and time era, will they fly same mission? If they do, would they fly the same mission if they do the same but not at the same time?

Let me sign this. Take a Podwa for a ride at 6/7/8 beaufort with turbulence set to "3" and try just to get from A to B with bombs attached I've sh*t my pants when wind shear hit me for the first time and despite pulling the stick and going "all in", the Podwa seemed to be attracted by the next best rabbit hole down there like it fell in love with roger rabbit.
