I reduced the size and look of the raindrop.

OLD

NEW

It was hard to capture a pic of the new drops, but is much better than the giant blue tear drops.

Yeah me too   I found it last week. I started the Ten Days of Autumn campaign over and the first mission I realized the raindrops looked like meteors!

It's surprising how you really are following in my footsteps... redoing the various rain textures  is one of many things in my ongoing WIP project  to improve the natural world in IL-2

Cheers

  Hello!

Well now that’s not intentional. The raindrops were a bit on the toons side.

There are so many things that could use a little TLC in the graphics department. I notice how some of the rivers are blue and should be green-brown or brown, how the deciduous trees in Moscow Winter are orange and full of leaves. Most of the forest fill textures are not even close to matching and I could go on for a bit. Thank goodness you are working on this virtual world we fly in! I’m looking forward to some more WIP news! Hope all is well. Good to hear from you.

No need to apologise as I've no monopoly on the right to tweak this game, for as you say it is easy to list many little things that could benefit from a little fine tuning to bring them all into balance...

When life occupies your time with other things even a short list takes long while to get through!

Yes the rivers could definitely use a little of your magic. Brown or grey would be much more realistic.

Is it possible to do something similar with the tracers?

There was a mod called thinner tracers somewhere but I can’t find it. But, yes it’s possible.
I use this MOD, it has different options and is somewhat historically correct.

If you don’t like that, I could thin the tracers up a bit. Actually I think there’s a thin option in the mod I posted here.

First clouds, now rain, what's next?  Sleet?  Big mooshy snowflakes?  Animated dust devils?

Tell me you are a frustrated Meteorological Major that couldn't find a job doing TV weather. ?

Seriously, wow!   Keep these hits a-comin'!

Agreed.  It would also be good if they did not have great big waves on them.

Awww.  Then where am I gonna surf?  Beaches are closed in Kuban due to COVID-19.
