=362nd_FS=Andre* Posted May 29, 2020 Posted May 29, 2020 Is there any way to use your VR Controllers in IL-2? Using a turret in VR with a mouse is a little immersion breaking. I know it sounds pretty childish to want this, but is there a mod or something I haven't seen that allows this?
dburne Posted May 29, 2020 Posted May 29, 2020 Not that I am aware of. Pretty sure that would have to be done at the game level by adding support for the controllers, and with it not being a clickable pit sim probably would not make much sense to devote the necessary resources for it.
waldorf Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 hi I have been using Oculus Touch controllers for a while for basic flying controls. Right controller joystick for Pitch and Roll with autorudder, right trigger for wheel brakes. Left controller joystick for Throttle and switch Y to drop bombs. I just set the autopilot when I want to use gunner positions with the mouse. It is fairly complex to set up but good fun. Useful if no joystick available... I use voiceattack for most other commands i.e. Gear, Flaps up/down, cowl flaps etc... Virtual Joystick program (vjoy), Auto_oculus_touch and Touchbinder are the three programs required to facilitate basic flying controls, run at your own risk of course !!. 2
firdimigdi Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 Turret gunnery with the mouse is a bit weird tho, the motion is not smooth at all - it's like there's fighting between the oculus motion and the mouse controlled motion or something of that sort.
