Very nice, STN, you old tease.

I had a look at Kampfgruppe 144, Feathered. What a collection of masochists!

You may be right.  It probably explains why so many of the members are Australians!

My latest lumpen work in progress. Bit of a French tank obsession at the moment.

Great work!

I was again fighting to finish it. Messed up a few things toward the end. Got quick dry glue on the finished paintcoat, decals got blisters, the hull cracked behind the machine gunner... but otherwise it is a beauty of a plane :)

Nice one. I am trying to find the courage to build a night fighter myself.

Posted

Cheers STN... Iv`e the DO215 and the beaufighter in my night fighter collection , i have Black widow in my stash and im after a hurricane as well and that will be my night fighter collection. I say go for it m8 , just make sure you lighten the black paint to how you want it and the rest is just weathering , my beau is more weathered than my 215. :) + the bonus is less masking etc etc :)

Posted

I also used this as an experiment with the different shades of black on the panels and i liked it , it looked better when i used weathering powder on it but after a varnish coat it totally disappeared   :( ..On my Widow im going to weather the crap out of it. :)

Very good, Buglord. I have a beau nightfighter in the stash with John Cunningham's markings. Need to think about how to make it look vaguely interesting!

Excellent work fellas.  Love those 109's, they are beautifully finished.  Bug, your Dornier is a beauty too.  I came back several times to look at it again.  It's got me itching to crack on with the Do-217 that I put some pictures up about a few pages back.

Nearly done with my little 1/144 scale doodlebug.  I'll do some touch ups and apply some mottle and stencils with a brush I think.  Just blew a pinhole in my compressor tank and bodged it back together by running gap filing superglue into the gap.  We'll see how long that lasts!

Here's a shot of the V-1 straight after unmasking and on it's little scratchbuilt trolley.  Posed next to the 1 Australian Dollaroo that I received in change after preordering the Ju-52 and Yak...

It's good to be small

Here's the last shots of these.  I'm calling them done I think and moving on the next one.  It'll be a J2M3 with a bit of luck.
