Radiator Control in Tempest MkV

Am I getting something wrong, or is there a problem with getting the water and oil radiator shutters to open and close in the Tempest?

 

No matter what I bind to those actions, nothing happens when I press the buttons.

 

I've turned off automatic radiator control.

You need to use the same radiator flap controls used for the Spitfire V.

Also, it's either fully open or fully closed, you can't select anything in between.

The oil and water radiator both use the same shutter flap.  Basically, it's one flap to rule them all.  IIRC, as long as the Oil Radiator open/close keybind works, you're actually controlling both oil and water.

For some reason I thought it was automatically controlled, I never even had to use it to keep temps in the green. TMYK!

Thanks for the replies, but my problem is that neither the oil nor the water shutter controls seem to do anything.

 

I have never had a problem with overheating, as RedKestrel mentioned, I'll have another go with the oil controls.

 

LukeFF, I've never flown the spitfire, so I'm sorry but I don't know to which controls you refer.

 

I'm quite new to the game (2 days in...), and loving that I have to care about things like radiator management, read flight manuals for the aircraft, learn dogfighting physics, know performance curves etc. and VR is amazing.

Not that you need them in the Tempest lol.

Sorted it. Thanks to Luke. There's a key binding for Spitfire radiator open and Spitfire radiator closed. That nailed it.
