I want il2-1946 (VR?)

Good morning everyone,

 

I've grown tired of waiting for the pacific and reaaally want to do some carrier landings at least. so If anyone can help me by telling me what mods I need to get up and running for 1946 I would really appreciate it

I was also wondering if there is a mod for 1946 that allows me to play the game in VR with my Oculus Rift S.

 

I never had the pleasure of playing the original Il2s as I only knew of CFS2 at the time, which I loved and is what got me into flight sims really.  Now, I've heard that 1946 blows that out of the water so i figured i'd give it a shot.

 

ooh, and is it ok if i get the steam version if I want to mod it?

Hi.

 

I've never seen a mod for the Pacific theater with Il2 GB, so I can't tell.

 

For the old Il2, with vr, you'll need a piece of software called VORPX.

 

I tried it long time ago, got it to work but don't forget, it's an old game and it wasn't program to work in VR so result might vary.

Don't forget to get the graphics extender, seems to be quite a nice addition (the visibility range was one of my pet peeves when playing Il21946 in the past):
