Hello everyone, thanks for come to try to help me.

I just bought CoD Blitz. I like with but I would like that you tell me your tips, toughts, opinions about the game.

I would like to play the german campaign but I see that you only can be a bf109.. also is bugged cuase in the first mission you must scort Dorniers and when you are in the middle way they are already dead and you lost the mission lol.

To be clear, just tell me how you play this game.

Tips, mods, opinions.. etc

thank you so much

Well I would start by reading the engine limitations and dogfighting missions instead of campaigns. Getting a feel for this bird. With practice, your most important asset is your leg muscle memory. Its important during flying WWII birds to have a coordinated flight, because that minimizes the speed decay with aggressive maneuvers.

Also, you might want to read the thread entitled NEW PLAYERS START HERE, check out IRFC Requiem, I Fly Central youtube channels, and take notes.

Most of the recent info regarding CloD Blitz is post here in the Cliffs of Dover section shown above just under the title IL-2 Sturmovik, but going to ATAG gives a lot of information & options for campaigns, single missions & skins that goes way back and can be useful.

Version 5.0 has been in development for years .It will feature at least one new Africa Map & quite a few new aircraft. Its been a long journey but its in Beta now & might release this year.Bets are on for Christmas.I personally think it will be worth the wait & purchase.

BTW I have "flown" CLOD since day one now years ago and initially it was so disappointing that buyers today will still rag on about it.I think it is just second to Great Battles in terms of enjoyment and eye candy, but they have different Flight Models & AI pilots.People have been critical of that too.I really can't judge. Unfortunately CloD doesn't have VR cpability yet ( & probably won't for a long time..) otherwise I'd play it as much as Great Battles

I may be a voice crying in the wilderness but I think you'll enjoy the sim and the good folks still developing it will appreciate your support.

I bought CloD on disc when first released so I did not need to buy Blitz. CloD was released unfinished, representing a tech demo rather than a full BoB game. Whether there ever existed a development archive that would help guide further development seems doubtful. While much has been done by TF to improve what existed at original publication Blitz does not (to me} represent a full BoB "game". It seems only viable for online play. If your ultimate goal is to fly online there is rationale for you to delve into Blitz's "quirks". To me though there is not enough BoB "game" in Blitz to make it worth the effort required to get past its' poor user experience. On my rig I can fire up RoF for nostalgia or for comparison to FC. RoF still runs stably and all my old flight records run fine. With Blitz I have to tap dance with Task Manager just to start many of the stock dogfight missions. Recording a flight means exiting the mission to start and stop recording. Like as not when I try to reenter the mission I am treated to a black screen or view of the ocean instead of finding myself back in the cockpit. That necessitates more  keyboard tap dancing with Task Manager before I can get back into the mission. Now if RoF can have one-click mission recording while in game, why can't it be provided in Blitz? If Blitz  hasn't addressed such existing "user experience" shortcomings I think it points to deeper problems that likely will persist in any future offerings based on this game engine. Attention to fleshing out a definitive BoB game was apparently abandoned because those players remaining active in CloD became bored with the BoB and had an incurable itch for sand. So Blitz is as you see it now. As for VR, well if the developers had broached the subject of their own accord, I might hold out hope for the future. Unfortunately VR has only been addressed after persistent prodding from outside. It would seem that if TF 5.0 were to be released and prove successful without VR then there would be immediate question as to whether a VR update would be worth the effort, a circular argument. In the end it is all a question of how much time you are willing to invest in a desire to enjoy Blitz. If you are new to Blitz you are or may ultimately be in an ideal position to give comment on the Blitz "user experience".

If you take the time to explore the many information sources out there you can find answers to your questions.

Regarding VR, TF looked into this a long time before questions appeared on this forum.

We have to prioritize our focus as we are a small team with limited resources, so as has been mentioned, the introduction of VR will come after the game has been released.

Does Requiem have COD guides? If not are there any basic guides to engine management on youtube people would recommend? I fly BoX, have had CoD forever just don't play it, but am very much looking forward to North Africa.

Blitzen nailed it.

Long time since i visited but the ATAG forum was full of a lot of helpful and friendly people and probably still is. Its a great place to start.

Nailed it too. Rudder and setting your rpm/ATA/rads properly is important in the Clod 109. Not sure how much leeway you get with novice settings though.
