Plane specs

Is there a manual or something that discusses plane specs and compares planes to each other. For example, I'm in a P40-1 and my opponent is is in a Bf109 E-7.  I'm trying to find some info. that compares these two planes and what tactics to use to survive an encounter.  Stuff like that.  I remember back in the original Il-2 Sturmovik I saw data like that compiled by game enthusiasts  which relates to the game and not necessarily to the actual airplanes in real life.
