56RAF_Roke Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 (edited) Hi Having recently begun running the game in VR (Rift S), on closing the programme I always get the above error dialogue pop up on my desktop (which needs to be 'OK-ed' on the desktop). The CFGPool.log contains very little, simply : (0) Not a number or boolean value '0 xxxxx0xxx' of variable 'or_enable' The xxx's above are characters in my Steam password. However, changing the password still produces the error (and the displayed error log text is not the new password either). In Startup.CFG, or_enable = 0. If I manually set it to or_enable = 1, the error still appears, and ther value is reset to 0 in the config file. Hardly a showstopper, but does make exiting VR a pain. Any ideas? FlyingH Posted May 28, 2020 Posted May 28, 2020 Is you Startup.cfg set to read only? Right click on the file and select properties to check. If your game is in the C/Program files folder you may not be able to remove the setting, then the best solution is to move the game out of there to anwhere else on your HDD. 1
56RAF_Roke Posted June 2, 2020 Author Posted June 2, 2020 Cheers...unfortunately it must be something else. Thanks anyway.

Or did you simply verify the Install? Roke Edited June 7, 2020 by 56RAF_Roke
coconut Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 You get this error whenever IL2.exe is passed arguments on its command line. In this case, I think it's steam that passes or_enable to enable VR. What you can try is set or_enable=1 in startup.cfg, and convince steam not to emit or_enable=1 (or =0) on the commandline. How to best do this, I'm not sure, but it should be possible by editing the properties of the game in steam.
