Lancaster over B-17?

I’ve found that most sims that include the late Western front 1944-45 have American bombers like the B-17, B-24, B-26, B-25, but no British bombers like the Lancaster.
Therefore, I wonder how many people would be willing to have the Avro Lancaster being added sooner (likely AI) during a Battle of Berlin development and an AI B-17 being added later, like during development of a Pacific Battle?

We're probably not getting either one.  But it makes more sense to include the B-17 because the Lancaster flew mostly at night and the only thing in this game as unlikely as heavy bombers is night fighters.  In the Pacific it makes much more sense to include the B-24 than the B-17.

An 3d modeller last year was actually willing to provide their lancaster model to the devs in this thread, no official response to it till now (likely private response).

I think what makes the Lanc more likely compared to the B-17 is the reduced number of crew stations. Only three turrets, the B-17 has more than twice that. This means both it would be less taxing on the framerates, and also it would be much less time to develop (though still a lot of effort!). With the Me-410 and Mosquito FB.VI coming it'd be a fun and fitting addition, but I think it's sadly unlikely

The Lancaster was actually flying a lot of daylight missions by the end of 1944 (including targets in the Bulge), but it's not likely it's going to come at this point.

I'm looking at this from a point of view of cost vs benefit. The B-17 might attract more sales than the Lanc, simply because the US has more simmers than the UK. It's just like how WW2 FPS games get a boost in sales when a Normandy map (D-Day) is added to the map rotation, especially if it's one of the US beaches.

I would not mind a night expansion with a Lancaster and a 110 G4 or a Ju-88 night fighter (the real one, not the one from BON). I know it’s niche, but night ops might circumvent the big bomberbox as a resource hog issue since the nightbombers flew in streams. Did bomber command attack targets in France?

One advantage of the Lancaster is it is less dependant on mass formations for realism and a stream of them in night missions is easier to simulate.

Another advantage, less gunners to bog your cpu down and less gun stations for the Dev's to model.
