horendus Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 ORIGINALLY POSTED ON STEAM FORUMS I fired up some Il2 VR tonight to checkout the new update. I'm not sure if its just the latest update as I have not played in a while but there is annoying issues with the red tracking markers now. They seem to pop in and out of existence especially when you are flying directly towards them. I have to turn my head left or right of the markers in order to have them pop back into existence to check ranges on targets before facing them again and loosing them. It seems to be mainly when the floating markers are being looked at through the propellers I think. I tried this on my OG HTC Vive and Oculous Rift Quest (via Link) They were both effected with the Quest also at times having the tracking markers showing in only 1 eye when looking directly at a marker through your prop, although the HTC may have been doing this as well. I can also confirm with the right setting the Rift Quest works amazingly well with il2, its a shame the straps are so uncomfortable compared to the Vive with audio strap. Specs: Intel 8600k + GTX1080 (Driver 445.75) RESPONSE ON STEAM FORUMS I have the exactly same problem, an it star whit the update, VR - Tracking markers disappearing and i try reinstaling the game fresh but nothing works an is to anoing play whit that problem, i use oculus rift cv1 i7 980 and nvidia 1070ti
-Colegas-balloneta Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 yes i have the same problem, an found this description of the same problem i think: on this post: If you take a close look they seems to be blocked by an transparent shadow. That “transparent shadow” does have the contour of the plane, if the marker is in this “shadow “ the plane markers are not showed up. Same you will see in the prop arc.
horendus Posted May 27, 2020 Author Posted May 27, 2020 Here is how to fix the issue. Open in a text editor \steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\startup.cfg Under [KEY = graphics] change rescale_target = .50000 to rescale_target = 1.00000
