SCG_Neun Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 (edited) Sounds good. Yesterday we had a 3 hour combined arms event and the game played great. I can tell the tweaks are making a difference. That mission was made to reduce line of sight issues, but I could sense a difference and it was good and a move forward for Tank Crew. Thanks to Stormbirds for giving us this interview. You know the forums are a tough place to interact with customers because just about any statement you make can get turned around or misunderstood and become just a slugfest. It could be the reason we don’t get much feedback. For an Early Access funding project though I think interviews like this are just good business and form a better relationship with the player base. I really do wish that we would get some sort of feedback as to whether they have seen the issues raised for TC and whether they will look at any changes to the AI and visibility.

Problem is with the AI, that in planes when the AI sees you, it needs to maneuvre to the point when it can shoot at you, but in tanks it only needs to slightly move the gun and you are dead. There must be some sort of AI blindness programed. Some difference between Ai difficulty. You slowly,cautiously climb on the hill and in a blink of an eye 5 of more shells are flying towards you and of course they can hit you without a problem at far distance with the first shot. Also its nice that they cant see you finally behind block of trees (sometimes), but if they stand there and you can shoot at them standing just few meters from them is bad. And they can see you behind the hills, which is worse. I would like to see, that if one or two tanks in the squad is damaged/destroyed the rest will try to - point front armor to you (this is absolutely necessary command which is missing in the command menu for tanks in your squad!) - outflank you - retreat (with the front armor pointed towards you) - panicked retreat, turning back at you. that just few ideas.
