Server Pilots Not Showing In List.

I'm getting multiple reports that my server is showing 0 pilots on the list, when in fact there are.

 

Also there are often some or no pilots showing up in the end of mission results.

 

One more.. no pilots are displayed in the stats before selecting plane - this may be as intended ?

 

So critically, regarding point #1 - any known causes for this ?

I'm not running dserver btw.

Yeah hope that gets sorted Zoo. Are you also able to get your server (and ST when it's up?) onto the online list linked below?

There's your answer, and if you were running it you wouldn't need to rely on reports, you'd be able to see the list.

How come your not running a Dserver ? Is this on a separate computer or you running it on your gaming computer?

Dserver may be too complicated for my small brain, so I've avoided it up to now.

Dude I got mine going ok and if I can you can no problem, just need an old computer, mine's just a 2 core 4 gigs of ram and windows 10, don't even need a video card. An old i5 would be perfect. then just make a free account for the server then off to the races you go, Lots of guys like your server so you should do it. that way you don't need to turn it off. And if you need help I can provide you with some services real cheap. lol (free) incase you didn't get the joke.

That's pretty cool Thommo and a nice gesture. I don't know if Zoo wants to go down that path but salute anyway. I have noticed that RAF 20 is always up (and without ping problems for me) and it is a great practice server without the temptation of icons.

Make a copy of Dserver_dogfight_default.sds file found in Multiplayer folder,  giving it a suitable name.

 

Edit the copy, inserting hosting account email and pw.

 

Where shown, edit title, description and IP address.

 

Add your map names in [rotation] section. Just names, no file extension.  Specify the relative path, e.g.:       file="Dogfight\myfirstmap"

 

Edit desired server settings.  You'll want to set certain timeouts to 0.

 

In bin/game, Start DServer.exe, then click File/Open.  Browse to your sds file and click it.  Check for errors.

 

Skip through all maps checking for any load failures.

 

 

Not rocket science.
