Anybody here speak Russian who'd be interesting in translating this video? A lot of it looks completely applicable to the controls we have available here. If I had a transcript, I could put subtitles on it and edit it into a sweet BoS tutorial.

That's a good video. I remember watching that one when I was working on the Yak famil and looking for some general info on it (plus the landing was irritating me, so seeing it in the video was nice), but not knowing Russian you really miss a lot of it. The numbers and what not are somewhat decipherable though. It would be great if someone could translate it!

Great film, the musical score is a riot.  Very informative even if you can only understand a few words.  If you've watched Requiem's great familiarization tutorial

I lol'd at what must have been "have your crew chief hold the tail down during run up".

 

I like the Il-2 video, I always chuckle at the pilot slipping on ice on the wing as he climbs up.  I guess that is only a problem on non-Russian aircraft.
