Coolts Posted May 23, 2020 Posted May 23, 2020 Hi. I've had BoS since launch but never really played it, but just got BOB on sale and played a few tutorials and thought i'd give it another go but cant get it to work on Rift. Is there some setting other than the "Enable VR HMD" tick box which does nothing for me. Oculus app running Steam running. Rebooted PC and game. VR working fine in DCS and Elite:Dangerous. Does it need to be run in "SteamVR mode" from steam launcher? I've never used that. 9700k/32gb RAM/RTX 2080ti. BTW.
Charlo-VRde Posted May 23, 2020 Posted May 23, 2020 I think you need to also use OpenComposite, assuming you don't use Steam. That is what was recommended in my thread a few months ago at

=RS=Funkie Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 @Coolts If you're having performance issues, download opencomposite. https://znix.xyz/OpenComposite/download.php?arch=x64 Currently when you're using the Rift + SteamVR the data is being double handled by Oculus and Steam. You can bypass SteamVR by replacing (after making a backup copy) of the OpenVR_api.dll file in the bin/game folder with the one from the opencomposite zip file. Should improve your performance.
