Llama_Thumper Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 Dear All I have a Virpil WarBRD base that I use with an extension. It's currently deskmounted, but, would like to have a center mount on my seat. I don't have enough space at home for a pit (Obutto, MonsterTech, etc) so my only choice right now is to have this mounted to my seat. Is anyone aware of any solutions either for just the mount or for a seat (ideally with cut-out in the center) plus the mount? Many thanks in advance for any replies!
Charlo-VR Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 (edited) Another option to consider is mounting your joystick on an adjustable-height bookshelf speaker stand. That’s how I mount my joystick on one speaker stand and my throttle and quadrant on the other speaker stand. I can then easily move them into the corner of my office while I am working. The only downside now is I can’t fully rotate my chair when checking six in VR, which is actually more realistic anyway - or at least, I have a greater appreciation for how challenging that was to IRL pilots. Indianer Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 (edited) You could build something nice using alloy profiles. Ok, my construction is mounted in my old simracing rig, but the profiles i've chosen would be heavy enough to use it without fixation. Edited May 21, 2020 by Cessna-Fahrer
SYN_Vander Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 Here is my solution. The mounts slide under the desk if I want to work on something. 1 1

Milopapa Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 If you scroll down a little in this thread, you'll see how I modded on office chair for center mount: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=152723 End result: Later, I built a simpit and similarly massacred a Ford Galaxy seat to achieve a similar result: Buoild process: https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZfsemQvgDR8nnZ3e8 Complete rig overview: https://photos.app.goo.gl/Wd32dXxgZWiMBJF47
