AI no longer taxi in career?

Hello,

 

Last night I flew a single sp career mission in the Spit IX and I noticed that my AI wingmates did a full stop on the runway and switched off there engine. Shortly there after they vanished. Anyone else noticed this?

 

I hope it was a glitch because having the AI taxi back after landing is great for the immersion. I loved sitting in my parked plane and listening to the sound of taxiing planes.

 

while I am at it. I would also like to keep the dead pilots and crewmates in there planes. Especially the gunners. I find this vanishing into the white light very disturbing somehow.

We had a incident before latest patch where our assigned leader refused to taxi to the runway. He switched on the light and thats it. We had to leave him. 
Worst part is he was credited with a kill when we finnished our coop mission in A 20’s using PWCG

I agree.  The janitor-mode is very annoying.

Hmm must have been a glitch because after having flown several more missions the AI taxi's as usual.

It depend on the mission and how it is internally designed.  There is a definition for what constitutes the airfield, including taxi and landing start/stop points, and if the mission designer (or auto-generation feature if that's what you're using) did not set that up correctly, you won't see the AI taxi back to the parking area.

No there was a bug - I built a demo/test mission and reported in beta.

 

I haven’t re-tested yet.

Likely fixed by now.

The mission was a standard sp campaign mission. The airbase was Volkel.

Still present in the latest version, at least as far as my test mission indicates at this particular airfield (Strassfeld)

Not sure how many airfields are behaving this way.

Last night in a career mission with JG2 on the stalingrad map, after a 'transfer' flight, saw the same thing; 109s landed, did a spin, then turned off their engines and disappeared.  I thought they were having spinning/ground loop problems, but usually when that happens they keep spinning around.

 

I also noticed they were all landing on their own without going around or waiting for the runway to clear.
