redstardwh Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 I have just received the latest IL2 game update today WED 20/05/2020. I am in the UK. When I now run the game I have a very bad graphic fault, which has only appeared after receiving this update. Picture is breaking up on certain viewing angles. This also happened years back & was corrected by the programmers I think. Is this happening to other people? eg. Plane in hanger displayed in start up scene seems OK until it hits a certain angle & then starts breaking up in small & large squares. When you are in the plane the instruments, seat, wing etc start breaking up. The cheat mode outside view of the aircraft shows it also badly braking up. Lets hope this is corrected soon. It seems to be a massive bug. Maybe its a UK system thing but its bad and makes it close to none playable at a high level.
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 Hey mate, don't worry, it's not just you. Try disabling FXAA and switch on some soft MSAA instead. In the graphics menu. The Sim just took a giant leap into a new, upgraded shading renderer logic. The benefits are already and will be great. However, it takes a while to stamp out all little the quirks here and there, and if you remove one, another may appear, as usual when working with code. Try my suggestion, give it some time for fixes, etc. Let us know if the switch helped with that issue ?
THERION Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 (edited) Sounds like a AMD video card patient here. Don't worry, it's not a UK thing, most of the AMD Radeon card users have similar issues. They opened a special topic for this. Here: Edited May 20, 2020 by -=-THERION
