Dear friends,

Around a month has passed since the previous humongous update and we have another right here. Its changelist is not as so hideously long (it is still too long, however - more than 80 items), but some of them are quite important. First of all, two new Collector Planes are released, Yak-9 and Yak-9T.

For Tank Crew customers this update adds a long-awaited Zveroboy ("Beast Slayer") - self-propelled heavy howitzer (assault gun) SU-152

This update also includes three new Scripted Campaigns – Kaiserschlacht, Spring Offensive and Lightning Strikes.

While new aircraft, tanks and campaigns are the lead stars of our sim, the most important change in this update is the release of the new graphics rendering engine based on Deferred Shading.

Thanks to Martin =ICDP= Catney we have the external textures of 4 more existing aircraft in 4K quality:

All, if you have an older graphics card like me, you might experience issues like pictured above because the lighting changes. The screenshots do not capture what is fully going on, but the buggy looking squares flicker when in-game.

 

My solution to this is to change your Antialiasing setting to FXAA to MSAA. If this doesn't for you, I'm afraid I don't know what else could fix it.

Good job guys, incredible graphical detail. Very well done on the transition to deferred... and so much late time grinding to get it out and keep the promise! We know how late it was in Moscow when you guys pushed the Update. ?

 

 

P.S. The new planes look great, and the Jak-9T's cannon is out of this world. Whoever doesn't get this thing during the sale that is still ongoing right now, can only blame himself later. If you want the biggest gun on the block, look no further.

Alright...for me it's crashing when starting quick mission, never had any problems before. I'll see at the morning if this was just my problem.

Pistols for Russian pilots
New campaigns for Flying Circus (free)

Improved modelling of g forces during bailout (and a g indicator added)
DM update for engines

Major DM update to Flying Circus

Ground vehicle AI has trouble seeing through trees

Removal of tracers for some artillery shells, new ballistic modelling for ship guns, and ship physics for runnign aground
Artillery fire from self-propelled guns

FM updates (mainly Yaks and 110)

...on top of things like the Yak and the new renderer!

I've just downloaded the Upgrade 4.006... but when I want to start my game, I get the first screen and it goes out of the game. (I have the steam version).

First thing, do a restart! After that there are a lot of options to go over in the settings!
