Pimax5K is perfect now ,so what settings/folders/files do I need to save before the update

After the last Update I somehow lost the great clarity & FPS I had. With the new update coming today or tomorrow,I'd like to avoid that happening again, so I'd like to buy a little insurance .My Pimax is just about the best its ever been aside from FPS. Its simply beautiful. So if I have a 'insurance folder" what do I put into it? The obvious ones :in-game settings , startup ini, Steam VR settings & finally the settings in the Steam VR on screen  pop-up , but what must I be missing? Any suggestions gratfully accepted.

Remove any mods and if you use JSGME, unmount all the mods there are.

I'd always backup /data/input/

Most important folder imho.

New download/upgrade installed flawlessly & apparently all my old settings were in fact saved., with the exception of in cockpit photos that reverted back to default .It will take some time to get them back to the customized pin-ups I had just put in.I haven't checked out if startup ini is the same but since the ingame imaging looks great I've sort of decided to "let sleeping dogs lie..."

I think I will keep the old Pimax5K going for quite a while now waiting for an affordable no-SDE Headset becomes available.

Thanks Ferris for all your help !

@Blitzen, how is your in game zoom in the pimax5k? Do you use parallel projections?

For the 5k you need them on for zoom to work.  On the downside it looks nicer and runs better without it.  But in my experience only marginally so.  You also lose the ability to use the in game IPD adjustment for this tradeoff to work.

Edit: okay it still works (in game IPD adjustment) but the settings are different.  My initial settings I had great results with without zoom functioning as intended (but the changes I could make in game gave me a much more pronounced effect).  When it changed to pp on I had a really severe double image that required a "reset" to default values  (ie: 0.0) to correct.  Hope that's helpful info.  On the plus side I'm learning a bit about why its use  (PP) is needed sometimes and sometimes not.  Interesting stuff.

So what can I say?  Overall performance of the sim itself is spectacular in many ways this update.  That is how I was able to use in game zoom and get it to work properly for me.  It's just limited and debatable whether it's woth it to do or not in terms of performance or image quality (or quality of the VR experience itself) because I just don't know the answer to that question.  And besides I'm finding everyone has preferences about settings;  I know what's right for me isn't right for someone else.
