How to change the language in the game AI speaker?

Hi all~

 

For example, I want to hear "I'm wound" in English while flying with BF-109 or YAK.

 

Can I let non-English countries, Germany or Russian AI speak English?

 

is it impossible?

I don't believe so. They are repetitive enough you learn the phrases quickly lol

You can open the mission file in the mission editor, find the AI units, select them, open their properties and change their country to United States or Great Britain.  Of course the issue is if you change the Germans to this they will be friendly aircraft and you will get penalized for shooting them down.

There is a voice pack in English available for MODS that changes the chatter, The version I have was a very early mod that I believe used files from the old IL-2 1946 and it is possible there is a more up to date version available now.

 

Mine uses the JSGME to activate it, I never go on Multiplayer so it is possible there might be a updated version that allows you to replace game files as some other mods do without having to activate in the mod folder, you will need to have a look and see what if anything is available to suit your needs.

That mod has more users than I thought haha. The old version used voices recorded from volunteers from the forum and TS so cut us some slack  

this new(er) version just uses the audio files from the other factions to make every radio call in english, or most of them anyway.

You can use it in mods OFF mode and in multiplayer with no trouble.
