Subject says it all. TIA

Bigger airfields tend to have paved runways. As an example, Gilze, Eindhoven, and Antwerpen all have paved runways.

Ironically, Frankfurt isn't a paved runway!

Some of the runways were paved but they would have been in use before the Allied invasion. The paved ones were usually heavily damaged and bomb cratered so they would have been repaired before use by the Allies. A lot of the ALGs were matting over newly constructed fields. The front lines moved numerous times. On the German side, many of the large paved airfields were not used because they were regularly bombed. There were smaller outlying fields for daily use.
