Dear colleagues, in campaign mode, how can I get my wingman to be numbered

You need to manually create several skins with numbers you want (use Photoshop or Gimp). Then you need to be Commander of the squadron. This allows to configure the aircraft for the next mission in the "mission planing" screen of the career mode.

There you can change the loadout and also select the skin for each aircraft (your aircraft and also those of AI).

 

Skin selection is not saved for the next mission, so you must select it again every time.

If you don't want to make your own skins, have a look in the skins section. The wonderful FoxbatRU (and others) have created many sets of skins with sequential numbering for use in career games - e.g., have a look at this set for the La-5. I don't know of a central list, so you have to look through the skins forum to see if someone has done a set of them for the aircraft you want.

 

 

You can download them to the skins folder for each aircraft and assign them to the aircraft in your flight (if you are commander).

Btw, as Commander you don't need to be the leader of the formation, you can assign yourself to any position or even remove yourself to skip the mission.

I fly campaign as start as low and get assign. I lead a flight but is not commander. In one of the carrer. Can I change possission as a flight Leader? 
Anyway thank you for that info. I will start a career as commander.

It might be possible to edit the database that saves the career progress. But so far my attempts to edit something in it were not very succesful (tried to continue a career where I was captured due to mission generator bug).
