Jonesy8077 Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Hi guys I've owned the steam version of BOS for years but never really tried it until the other day and now I'm hooked but unfortunately ity look like I've missed the recent sale as I was going to purchase the BOM and Kuban modules. I know I'm reaching here but is there another sale anytime soon? I used to fly il2 1946 back in the day but never took it online and now I what to play the newer il2's. 2
No.85_Camm Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 there are often sales. Try again in about 6 weeks time

Welcome to the community and happy that you're sharing the obsession that many of us here have ? 1CGS does often run sales. I'd guess the next will be closer to July perhaps.
Trooper117 Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 There are always sales on the go... just wait for a bit, another one will turn up.
FeuerFliegen Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 They have sales ALL THE TIME, so it's not like you'll have to wait until Black Friday or anything crazy like that... probably less than 2 months. Since you say you're hooked, I'd suggest just getting all of the premium packages, along with some collector's planes (they go on sale about half the time; sometimes it's just the main packages on sale)
CanadaOne Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 Definitely wait for a sale. The standard version of Kuban was $12. That's an amazing deal! The Premium was about $20. Still an excellent deal. That said, I'm surprised the older titles (BoM, BoS) are at $79.99 for the premium versions when not on sale. But I'm sure the bean counters have their reasons.

Battle of Bodenplatte is on sale NOW. Buy it, it is only 19,99!! 1
cmorris975 Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 (edited) Two other ways to think about it: 1. The gameplay is the same with different textures, models and flight envelopes across all modules (excepting the beta ones like Tank Crew, etc.). Sure, you'll get fresher models and cockpits, but it's all really the same game. There's plenty of content in Battle of Stalingrad. I could play that one module for years and be happy. Just learning the map for navigation without aids is challenge enough. 2. Paying normal retail prices means more money for the developers, which if you really love the game, is a very good thing. These guys work very hard refining their product and it shows. As a disabled person with limited income, I absolutely understand if you'd rather save money and wait for a sale. That being said, sometimes it is worth supporting the products we love with our money. Even if that means paying standard prices. Enjoy! It's a great time to be into simming. Chris P.S. If Bodenplatte is still on sale like the above poster says, problem solved. Get it! Edited May 22, 2020 by cmorris975

jscharpf Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 I missed most of the sales but I don't regret paying. This game is really a gem if you love the history and can appreciate the work/detail of each model. Jeff
sparty72 Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 Bodenplatte has just gone on Sale today, $19.99 for Premium, now is the time!
Bilbosmeggins Posted May 23, 2020 Posted May 23, 2020 Thanks for the BoP heads-up. Just grabbed the premium edition at $19.99. At that price it’d be rude not to ?
Solitojorgesoo Posted May 24, 2020 Posted May 24, 2020 I bought my Bodenplatte version to the Il2 store, can I mix it with the Steam Stalingrade battle ?

BOBP has just gone on sale for 75% off. Not BoK or BoM you were looking for, but this is the first time BoBP has gone on sale for 75% off.
