13/JG5_SetupEchse Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 Hi all, as an old "IL2 veteran" I am jumping back to the new "IL2 series - of course also with some new hardware - and new issues. My setup is a Logitech G510s Keyboard which has 3x18 G-Keys to configure. I configure the G-Keys with commands like "ALT+E" or "CTRL+E" to have no collisions with other keys. During Il2 1946 times I used an Logitech G15 with same setup and it worked perfect. Now, with the G510 and new IL2 I have the following issue: Lets say I have set up the G1 Key with the combination "CTRL+E" If I try to use e.g. "Flaps up" with the G1 key the game only catches "E" and not "CTRL+E" as setup. I can change a little in the Logitech Gaming Software to set up keys a little different, the software will then "record" the pressed combination like "CTRL" + "E". This sometimes work in IL2 but only in about 60% of cases and only if I press the G-key long enough (about 0,5s minimum). Are there any issues with Logitech G-keys known and/or are there any recommendations and or fixes available to make this running? Thanks for your support
FlyingH Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 The problem is not the G-keys, it´s how BoX read the commands. You need to make macros with delay between keypresses, like the 0,5s you described. You need to experiment to get the right delaytimes but you should eventually find the right spot. Hope this helps.
13/JG5_SetupEchse Posted May 15, 2020 Author Posted May 15, 2020 Yeah, I already tried the makros which also records some delay between the key presses. But if I do it that way, I got really nasty freezes in the game.
