WWSitttingDuck Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 (edited) Damn I hate the daggers. Threw this together quick, am sure someone willing to put more time into it can come up with something better. Jist is pretty simple, make sure a random number of enemy are showing up as attacking a base. Number should change about every 3 seconds. complex trigger is there just to define the area you have to find places to hide the planes. From what I see, the daggers show up when a planes is around 7500m from the base. Have to admit, I thought it was a lot farther than that. Have no idea how this affects performance, will be using it tomorrow in a mission that has 4 bases. But if it works as intended, pilots will not be alerted to enemy attacking a base, cause it will always show up as under attack. http://bhah.homeip.net:192/Old Fokkers/Misssions/daggers.rar just realized might have been a good idea to un-check engageable on the planes in this... WWSitttingDuck Posted May 14, 2020 Author Posted May 14, 2020 lol...really? those stupid red flashing "daggers" over an airfield that show you an enemy plane is in the area even thou you are trying your best to fly full real. 21 hours ago, WWSitttingDuck said: But if it works as intended, pilots will not be alerted to enemy attacking a base, cause it will always show up as under attack. I would have thought that might have given you a clue.

WWSitttingDuck Posted May 14, 2020 Author Posted May 14, 2020 damn.....never thought about that...you need to have an airfield down..... It's pretty annoying in MP....you can be 100km from your base, and you know the enemy is there...
WWDriftwood Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 "Daggers flash on and off" and you see the "plane icon with a count" of how many enemy at the airfield, tankfield. Be nice to stop that from showing up...

I guess some of us just live under a rock and don’t have to worry about problems except the ones we create for ourselves. Gambit, I guess you and me are the only 2 here that don’t do MP. ?

TP_Silk Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 I'm a little lost. You say this is for 'Full Real'? Surely a real network of manned airbases would radio around if they were under attack? That's all that those daggers represent. Removing them would result in less reality, not more.
WWDriftwood Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 It would be nice to have a choice, or be able to set up some buildings that are enemy communications, blow it up, no warning on the map. 30 min later, it's fixed, kind of thing, but still have an option to show it as a text message, map warning, objective, or just turn it off in the multiplayer options. Some flexibility would be nice.
