Pinups in Cockpit...how to?

Quite a while ago.I download a folder of Hollywood pinups here in mods but have long since forgotten to proper sequence and labeling of same to get them to replace the others now in place that I am tiring of .I did a quick search but no joy.Can someone give me a hand or a pin or a piece of tape?thanks!

You need to swap the custom_photo.dds that you find in the:  Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\graphics\planes\plane you selected\textures (if you use steam for your install)

 

Start with saving the original as custom_photo.dds to say custom_photo.old then replace with attached.

 

I just edited that pic in paint.net for you. They have to be 1024 x 1024 in size with the actual image starting on the left and being 700 x 1024 in size

I should add, the new image needs to be saved as a .dds with the settings from the top:

BC1 - error metric perceptual and tick 'cube map from crossed image'

Many thanks! If I pm’d you would you be willing to do a few more? I don’t have the capacity to do these with my Photoshop and don’t know if this is too difficult or time consuming , so I’ll understand if its not possible.?

I do it in paint and im just an old dumbass, Im sure you can do it

I was able to do my own photo's after that pretty easy with this site: https://www.aconvert.com/image/jpg-to-dds/

Nice picture! ¿Is it from a film? this would be def a picture I would have taken as a Pilot and then bring aboard my plane

The little mod is really nice, but it lacks of a file to show the content. You guys know what you’ Put inside, but we don’t.

so we need to test it at once each pic in-game.

Just a .pdf with thumbnails would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure what you mean, the path to install and an explanation is in my post.

If not a Steam install,  the path is only slightly different

 I mean that it would be nice to have a quick  »viewer » like a pdf with the thumbnail of each picture, just to know which one we want in which plane.

Without that we have to try each picture in a mission to visualize it.

308, you should be able to see them all,

and only need to rename the one you want to custom_photo.

I am relabelling them with numbers  and adding a new one in the zip in few minutes

No sorry, my system don’t allow me to have a view of .dds files

In another post, a guy posted some custom pics also.

In the .zip, there was a .pdf with thumbnails. So we were able to choose which picture we wanted to select.

No problem if you don’t understand me. My English is sometimes as understandable as the mission editor ?
