Key Bindings Help

Hello All!

New player here. I just bought BoM during the sale and I'm getting started. Currently making due with a dusty old Logitech 3D Pro and keyboard controls until I can get some better gear. I took a stab at binding everything over the weekend. I dove straight into expert controls since I have some experience.

Right now I have camera controls on top of the joystick and engine controls on the side, with everything else on the keyboard. I bound mixture inc/dec to the first two buttons, RPM inc/dec to the second set, and bound all oil/water radiators inc/dec to the last set.

Anyways, I toodled around in the I-16 a couple days ago and had no problems with that. Today I tried the MiG-3 and could not find anything to control prop pitch. Fortunately, the default value works and I was able to take off, climb, cruise, descend, and land no problem without any funky engine behavior simply by adjusting mixture and throttle. But it still seems kind of weird because all of the guides I referenced explicitly mention setting RPM. I have both "Propeller RPM Control" and "Propellers: High Pitch" and "Propellers: Low Pitch" bound to Joy1 buttons 8 and 9. Am I missing something?

I tried searching for a key bindings guide that explicitly states which bindings work on which aircraft, but no luck.

Appreciate the help.

It should be "Propeller RPM Control" but some change quite slowly so you may have to hold the button for a few seconds before things start to happen.

Once in an airplane go to the map, change the briefing tab to specs and see the features of the plane. If it has auto rads etc they'll be listed there.

Yeah, I have Propeller RPM Control bound already, so that's not the problem. I'll try holding it down longer to see if that's the issue. Still seems kind of weird. I would expect an icon to pop up immediately on the right if I was using the right key.

I did discover that clipboard, which definitely helps. It's not always super clear about every control though.

EDIT: I popped into the game real quick before bed to test and, sure enough, the RPM wheel requires holding down on the key for a solid second before it starts to move. Quite a funny little quirk. Thanks for helping me figure it out.
