Guys n gals - I distinctly remember the Germans seem to really have flown 2 missions with about 12 miles of NYC

Can anyone pls point me in the way of the site.

History of an Aircraft Family), also examined the claimed flight and debunked the flight north of New York. Assuming there was only one aircraft in existence, Kössler and Ott note it was nowhere near France at the time when the flight was supposed to have taken place. According to Pancherz' logbook, the Ju 390 V1 was brought to Prague on 26 November 1943. While there, it took part in test flights which continued until late March 1944 ..."

I've read as much as I could get about Luftwaffe's long range recons. Except the - let's say - speculations about a Ju-390-flight across the Atlantic in that magazine from 1955 there was nothing published . No hint, no pointing on rumours. In contrast to the Ju-390 the BV-222 prototypes had a somewhat operational status and were - like the Ju-290 - used for maritime recon operations in the eastern Atlantic. Luftwaffe badly needed every (very) long-range plane to search for the convoys.
