486 Squadron RNZAF

 

This New Zealand squadron will fly on Hurricane (night fighter) then will be re-equipped with Typhoons in 1942.
He received his first 5 Tempest in January 1944 at Tangmere but had to give them to n°3 Sqn RAF immediately. Finally, he will be completely equipped with Tempest in April 1944 at Castle Camps. A detachment, still equipped with Typhoon was sent to Bradwell Bay. The last sorties on Typhoon were carried out on 14 April 1944. This squadron will be used in the defence of the territory against the V1s.  It will be sent to the continent on September 28th, 1944, it ends the war on Flensburg B166 where it will be disbanded on October 12th, 1945.

Obelix discovered this great skins today. Btw I am a springbok fan.

 

I have a request suggestion: In the spirit of rugby and the x factor can you perhaps consider:

Taking skin number x and put a new zealand silver fern (small) on the left side of the radiator in white or black. Of course a springbok would be great as well ?

 

And now I have bumped this thread to the top because a lot of pilots will be looking for it.?
