Leaf Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 (edited) Hi everyone, 'just found a little gem on how to start the engine of a 109G2: I just love that whistle of the supercharger! Regards,LP Edited April 30, 2014 by LeafyPredicament 2
LLv34_Flanker Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 S! Nice video, thanks for sharing Note how well the engine responded to throttle changes and it stopped pretty fast too when cut.
FTC_Cule Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Yes very nice video. This was a demonstration of the 109G2 black 6 in Duxford before it was sold to South Africa for museum display, very sad about this, after so much maintenance the plane will be hanging from some roof.
Finkeren Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Well it never flew again after the accident, did it?
LLv34_Flanker Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 S! I recall it was built back to flying condition, but not to be flown anymore. Really a shame, but what can one do. Not too many of these birds left in the world.
