Hello all, I have finally got round to buying this after many years with IL246.

Some of you older chaps may recall my call sign.

It is a major step involving new PC and Windows 10 which I'm pretty clueless about having been happy with Win 7 forever.

Setting up my CH fighterstick, throttle, and pedals looks like it could be a long and fraught process.

Do any of you kind chaps already have a CH Manager Map that I could use as a starting point?

Hello Wulf,

if you like, you can try my map[1]. It includes a script to reduce jitter as well. There is some tiny adaptions to the ingame-defaults (which you can figure out, if you look at the map), mainly using the same combination for the different kind of coolers.

Other than that you could have a look in the Hardware, Software and Controller Subforum, if my map is not to your liking. There should be more floating around. :)

Welcome aboard and have fun! :)

Well, I knew it wouldn't take long to get help, much obliged my friend. ?

I will absolutely use your map to help me get started.

Many thanks! ?

Wolf, I don't have a map, but here's something else to help you with the control "jungle". You can filter this sheet to show only those controls that are applicable to Stalingrad planes. And in "all controls" sheet there are some useful notes...

Thank you Hipsu, I appear to be having problems with the CH software and also getting the sim to respond to the joystick axis.

I guess I'll just have to wade through all these issues over the coming days.

I quit using the CH software a long time ago - more trouble than it's worth and just when you do get it working an update makes everything crap out again. Just map everything directly.

And I tried using Thrustmaster TARGET software and that was also more trouble than worth.

You can map directly, or if you want to squeeze extra from your hardware try Joystick Gremlin (I use that).

I actually find TM TARGET to be really good. Initially you need to invest some time on it though. Being a former C programmer helps, of course.

Does BoS recognise the shifted commands from CH hardware?

Hey Wulf.  I remember you from Ubi forum and Hyperlobby. :salute:  Good old days.

I have CH stick and Pedals.

I switched to Windows 10 in November, with the PC upgrade and until recently i ran the game without control manager, because i read on the forum it doesn't work right with Windows 10.

Last week i decided to install the CH Control manager, because you can calibrate the controllers more precisely that way and you can combine them to be seen in game as a single controller.

The software installed ok, but the moment i tried to activate a map, the controllers would disappear and the options in CH manger would be grayed out.

It turned out some Gigabyte software that came with my motherboard (Aorus RGB fusion and Aorus App center) would prevent the CH control manager from taking control of the two controllers, because the Gigabyte software was controlling the USB's.

I went to the startup manager and I removed the Gigabyte software from the startup list and everything is working perfectly now.

I set the CM Control Center app from the CH, to load my profile, in Combined mode at startup and now it works ok. If i start that Gigabyte software after the CH gear is mapped i have no issues.

Other areas where you could have problems with Windows 10 and CH manager, is the windows power options. Windows 10 likes to turn off USB's whenever it feels like.

Go to Control panel /device manager and go through all your controllers that have a "Power management" tab, in their "properties" menu and make sure the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option is disabled like in this screenshot:

Other cause of issues is Microsoft Store.

Bo'X serie has a problem with combos for keys, e.g. LCtrl+F when send by externa keymapper, game see LCtrl+F and F.

Is need add a delay between the two keys.

Since CH don't support more Manager software - developer programmer retired; the viable alternative is Joystick Gremlin, with similar functions, but more based on GUI than in scripts.

Yah, I get my head into the CH Manager software as I setup the controls for a new game (or a game I didn’t have time to play until a global pandemic gave it to me), but once they’re set up, within a few weeks I have forgotten what I learned to finesse the CH Manager - kind of like that graduate statistics course I took back when I earned my Masters degree. ?

I leave myself a lot of comments and notes within my scripting and in personal read me files.
