diji Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 Hi everyone, sorry for what may be a silly question, I just bought BoS. I set my owned planes in PWCG and I was wondering what the easiest way to find when/where those planes are used might be. e.g. I want to fly the PE-2 ser. 87 but I'm only seeing the ser. 35 which I don't have.

When you go to the folder 'PWCGBos/BoSData/Input/Aircraft', you can find the date of introduction, used for PWCG, which is for the Pe 2 ser. 87, 19420601. So from the beginning of the Kuban battle in PWCG, june 1st 1942, the Pe 2 ser. 87 should be arriving in your squadron. You can open the file with Wordpad. Edited May 7, 2020 by Yogiflight

Now I just need to figure out why it can't find log files after my missions.

The short answer is any squadron flying PE2s from ... say mid 1943. By1944 it will be almost certain that any PE2s are the later model. PWCG uses the concept of archtypes to assign planes to a squadron. PE2 is an arch type. Which one you get will depend on date and the vagaries of resupply. For some period there will be a mix as the newer type replaces the older. Because of this resupply mechanism it can be hard to predict exactly which model will be available. The resupply is based on history, so if you know about when a model was introduced then you have an idea what date to start your campaign. In your case the Pe2 Ser 87 came witht he Kuban module, so 1943.

The allied bomber of the Kuban module was the A-20. The Pe 2 ser. 87 is part of BOS, and as I posted above, the introduction date in PWCG is 19420601. And as long as his squadron has ser.87 in the aircraft roster, he can select it for himself to fly.

Appreciate the correction. Stalingrad then.
